How much mulch/loam do I need?

OR

 

1.) Measure the length and width of your beds in feet.  Multiply length times width to get the area.  L x W = A.

2.) Measure the diameter (maximum width)  of all your circular beds for trees.  Radius = Diameter divided by 2.   

    From highschool math your formula is:

    ∏ R2 = A

    or

    3.14 x R2 = A

 

3.) Add together your total area in square feet.  

4.) One last step, divide the total area in square feet by 100 which will give you the number of yards you will need for a 3 inch depth.
